Our position

We publish our own review text and our own screenshots of software in use. Product names, icons and logos appear for identification and commentary. If you believe something here infringes your copyright, we want to know and we will act.

What a notice must contain

Identification of the work you say is infringed. The exact address of the page and the specific material on it. Your name and contact details. A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised. A statement that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner. Your signature, electronic or physical.

Where to send it

To the copyright address in the footer, with "Copyright" in the subject. Notices that omit the page address or the specific material cannot be acted on and will be returned for detail.

What happens next

We acknowledge receipt, review the claim, and where it is valid we remove or amend the material and tell you what we did. Where we believe the use is lawful commentary we will say so and explain why, rather than removing content silently.

Counter-notice

If your material was removed and you believe that was wrong, send a counter-notice with the same detail plus a statement consenting to jurisdiction. We will pass it to the original complainant and restore the material unless we are notified of legal action.

Repeat complaints

We keep a record of notices. Material that has been the subject of a valid notice is not republished.

One note on safe harbour

Formal DMCA safe harbour in the United States requires a registered designated agent with a physical address filed with the Copyright Office. This page describes a working complaints process, which is what we operate; it is not a claim to registered agent status.
